I'm glad you are trying so hard. Great job. The carpet must have the same area and perimeter (ex, P=16ft and A=16ft2) and it must fit inside the room (the room dimensions are given). Does this help?

Mrs.webb,I searched online how many possible ways are there that have the same are and perimeter. But there is only 3 possible ways that have the same perimeter and area which are 3×6 4×4 and 6×3.they are all squares and rectangles but in real life its less likely for a carpet to be an irregular shape.

David, it is unlikely to have a carpet be an irregular shape, but it is not impossible. Try your best and come up with what you can. You should be trying to figure this out by drawing different shapes and figuring out the area and perimeter. This will help you to practice identifying the area and perimeter of regular and irregular shapes.
