Homework
Read 30 minutes Math: MMS Pages 138-139 - Exploring formula for perimeter of rectangles Unicorns: Read up to page 92 and complete literal comprehension questions. Griffins: Finish book and write jot notes for Monday. Behaviour challenges at lunch today... Today there was some very poor behaviour, by some, during lunch recess. There was disrespectful behaviour to the lunch monitor as well as a lack of respect for classroom and school rules. The students involved were asked to write a paragraph about why their behaviour was not okay, how it was unsafe and how this behaviour impacted the lunch monitor involved. They were also asked to get the paragraph signed by their parents. Water Bottles Unfortuntely we have been having problems in class with students trying to do the 'Water Bottle Challenge'. The students toss their water bottles onto various objects trying to get get them to land upright. This may sound trivial but for many it is interupting learning time and keeping them from completing their work. It is also very disruptive for others. For this reason, I have had to ban plastic water bottles (disposable) and the 'flipping' of bottles in the classroom. Students are still welcome and encouraged to bring in reusable water bottles to class. I apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your support. Mrs. Dogger Many of you may have heard about one of the school's CYWs (child and youth worker), Mrs. Dogger. She has been a hugely positive influence and support for many of our students. Friday is her last day at Bakersfield and she will be missed.
