All students in grades 2-6 are participating. If you have not made your payment yet, please do so at School Cash Online. Thank you! Math I have sent home the math duotangs today. Please have a look at some of the math that your child has been participation in this year. Our focus has been mainly of mental math strategies in the areas of multiplication/division. This includes strategies such as doubling, repeated addition, partial products, etc. Students have explored using tools such as number lines, tables, money manipulatives, arrays, etc. We have also been working hard on communicating our math effectively both in writing and orally. The students were given a rubric today that needs to be signed and returned. This rubric focuses only on math communication, part of the expectations from the Ontario Achievement Chart. It is one part of your child's math mark. |
