Our Current Units of Study Learning Objectives: Literacy Writing: I can write and organise an effective paragraph Reading: I can identify the main idea when reading non-fiction texts. Math I can solve challenging problems in the most efficient way possible I can use a variety of strategies to multiply numbers I can find patterns when using numbers, that will help me to solve challenging problems Science I can identify and describe the three states of matter I can safely experiment with the three states of matter to explore their properties Social Studies I will explore what makes a responsible citizen I will determine the purpose of the 3 levels of Canadian government Health I will identify the different nutrients that my body needs I will explore and investigate what each nutrient does for my body Gym I can demonstrate good sportsmanship when playing co-operative games Art I will explore a variety of different styles of portraits I will create an abstract portrait in the Cubism style (Picasso) Milk Don't forget that milk orders went out this week.
